Humanity has always been obsessed with origins. From ancient mythologies to modern-day laboratories, our race has tirelessly sought the answer to one of the most fundamental questions: Where did we come from?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, scientists invest billions of dollars in pursuit of that answer. They launch telescopes into deep space, send robotic missions to distant asteroids, study rock layers beneath the earth\u2019s crust, analyze the DNA of plants and animals, and simulate the conditions of the early universe\u2014all in an attempt to uncover our beginning. Some analyze cosmic background radiation, hoping to catch a glimpse of the origin of the universe. Others search meteorites for prebiotic material, imagining that perhaps life\u2019s blueprint floated in from the stars.<\/p>\n

Why this intense pursuit?<\/p>\n

\n

Because knowing where we came from holds the key to understanding who we are, where we are going\u2014and the purpose of life itself.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But what about you? Have you ever stopped to seriously ask that question?<\/p>\n

Not just in terms of biology or ancestry\u2014but your real origin. Not just what happened in the past, but what is really behind your existence? And more importantly, is your past shaping or even controlling your life right now?<\/p>\n

Are you haunted by where you came from\u2014your family, your decisions, your upbringing, your mistakes? Or do you sense there\u2019s something deeper calling you to look beyond all that?<\/p>\n

In this article, we will look at where you really<\/em> came from\u2014not from a microscope or a telescope, but from the One who made both. Because until you understand your true origin, you will never understand your true purpose.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

1. You Were Made by God, Not by Accident<\/strong><\/h4>\n

You are not a product of random forces. You are not a cosmic mistake or the outcome of blind evolution. You were made\u2014intentionally, personally, and lovingly\u2014by God Himself.<\/p>\n

The Bible opens with this foundational truth:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Genesis 1:1)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

That very first verse tells us that everything has a Creator\u2014and that Creator is God. But He didn\u2019t stop at forming the stars and planets. He made you.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThen God said, \u2018Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness\u2019\u2026 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Genesis 1:26\u201327)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

God made humanity in His own image. That means you were designed to reflect His character\u2014His creativity, reason, love, morality, and ability to relate. You were meant for relationship with Him.<\/p>\n

You are not here by chance. You are not the result of a meaningless process. You were crafted by a divine hand with a divine purpose.<\/p>\n

The psalmist declared this profound truth:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Psalm 139:14)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

You are the marvelous work of God\u2014carefully formed, deeply known, and purposefully made.<\/p>\n

Even before you were born, God already knew you:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Jeremiah 1:5)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

You are not a number. You are not just another life passing through time. You were created by the eternal God who sees you, knows you, and has a plan for your life. And no matter what your life has looked like so far, that truth remains unchanged.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

But Why Believe This\u2014Over Evolution or Other Theories?<\/h4>\n

Many theories have been proposed to explain the origin of man. The most dominant among them is Darwin\u2019s theory of evolution<\/strong>, which teaches that human beings evolved from simpler life forms over millions of years through a process of natural selection. Others suggest that life originated from non-living matter by chance\u2014through abiogenesis<\/strong> or chemical evolution<\/strong>\u2014and that humanity is simply the accidental result of time and probability.<\/p>\n

But these theories fall short in key areas:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

a. They Cannot Account for the Origin of Life Itself<\/h5>\n

Even evolutionary scientists acknowledge that the origin of life remains a mystery. Where did the first cell come from? How did intelligence, consciousness, and morality emerge from lifeless chemicals? Evolution cannot explain these.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

b. They Reduce Human Value<\/h5>\n

If we are just highly evolved animals or cosmic accidents, where does our worth come from? Why do we care about justice, love, and meaning? Without a Creator, human dignity collapses into nothing more than biology.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

c. They Require Blind Faith, Too<\/h5>\n

Ironically, many who reject the Bible for \u201cnot being scientific\u201d put their faith in theories that have never been observed, repeated, or proven. There is no observable evidence of one kind of creature evolving into a completely different kind\u2014what is often called \u201cmacro-evolution.\u201d Fossil records lack the transitional forms that such theories require.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

d. They Ignore the Inner Voice<\/h5>\n

Deep within, we all know we are more than molecules. There\u2019s a longing in every human heart for meaning, eternity, and God Himself. This longing is not a random illusion\u2014it is a reflection of the truth.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts.\u201d<\/em> (Ecclesiastes 3:11)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

e. They Cannot Explain Morality<\/h5>\n

One of the strongest arguments against atheism and naturalistic evolution is the existence of objective moral values<\/strong>. Why do we instinctively know that certain things are right and others are wrong\u2014across cultures and across time? Where does this universal moral code come from?<\/p>\n

Why is it wrong to murder an innocent child? Why does something deep inside us cry out when we see injustice, abuse, or betrayal? Why do we feel guilt when we lie\u2014even if no one finds out?<\/p>\n

And on the other side:
Why do we love? Why do we celebrate honesty? Why do we admire selfless sacrifice\u2014like a mother giving her life to save her child or a soldier jumping on a grenade to protect his comrades? These are not mere survival instincts. Animals may protect their young, but they don\u2019t write laws about justice or contemplate moral duty.<\/p>\n

Atheism may try to explain morality as a product of social evolution or survival mechanisms<\/strong>, but it cannot explain the oughtness<\/em> of morality\u2014why we believe some things ought<\/em> never to be done, regardless of consequences or opinions.<\/p>\n

If there is no God, then morality is just a human construct\u2014subject to change, manipulation, or rejection. But if we are created in the image of a holy God, morality makes perfect sense<\/strong>. Good and evil are not opinions\u2014they are reflections of God’s righteous character.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cFor when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law\u2026 these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Romans 2:14\u201315)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Even people who have never read the Bible still know it’s wrong to steal, cheat, lie, and murder. That\u2019s because our moral compass is not an accident<\/strong>\u2014it is evidence of our Creator\u2019s image stamped upon us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So why do we believe the Bible\u2019s account of creation? Because it aligns with what we observe, what we experience, and what our hearts know to be true\u2014and because there is strong evidence supporting it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
