Unless we first recognize this disease in the human race, we will never arrive at the right solution. Human evil is not just a theological term\u2014it is a lived reality. Within ourselves (and you know this is true), within our families, our churches, our communities, and even our nations, human evil plays a significant role in shaping our world\u2014and even in shaping our pain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"5266\" data-end=\"5438\">But God is not absent in our pain. He is the One who <strong data-start=\"5319\" data-end=\"5349\">suffered evil on the cross<\/strong> to save us from it\u2014and He offers <strong data-start=\"5383\" data-end=\"5413\">hope, justice, and healing<\/strong> for all who turn to Him.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d4144ea elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"d4144ea\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3c8adf1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3c8adf1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 data-start=\"228\" data-end=\"276\"><strong data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"276\">God&#8217;s Answer to the Problem of Human Evil<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"278\" data-end=\"419\">Contrary to what some believe, <strong data-start=\"309\" data-end=\"353\">God is not passive when it comes to evil<\/strong>. He has never turned a blind eye to wickedness\u2014and He never will.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"421\" data-end=\"484\">Throughout history, God has shown that He takes evil seriously:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"908\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"631\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"631\"><strong data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"506\">In Noah\u2019s time<\/strong>, God saw that <em data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"556\">\u201cthe wickedness of man was great\u201d<\/em> and judged the world with a flood\u2014<strong data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"630\">only Noah and his family were saved<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"908\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"742\" data-end=\"908\">Even <strong data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"757\">Israel<\/strong>, His chosen people, were not spared. When they turned to idolatry, injustice, and oppression, <strong data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"880\">God sent them into exile<\/strong> under Babylonian captivity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"1040\">But <strong data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"954\">God\u2019s plan did not stop at judgment.<\/strong> He had something greater in mind\u2014<strong data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1039\">not just to punish evil, but to save us from it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h5 data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1103\">\u00a0<\/h5>\n<h5 data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1103\"><strong data-start=\"1051\" data-end=\"1103\">The Cross: God&#8217;s Greatest Response to Human Evil<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1268\">Because He loves us, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to bear the penalty of our sins. The cross was where <strong data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1238\">the justice of God<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1243\" data-end=\"1263\">the mercy of God<\/strong> met.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1402\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1402\"><strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1381\"><em data-start=\"1274\" data-end=\"1379\">\u201cBut God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1384\" \/>(<strong data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1401\"><em data-start=\"1387\" data-end=\"1399\">Romans 5:8<\/em><\/strong>)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1509\">Through Jesus\u2019 death, <strong data-start=\"1426\" data-end=\"1450\">there is forgiveness<\/strong>. Through His resurrection, <strong data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1508\">there is victory over evil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1606\">God\u2019s first move was not to destroy all evildoers\u2014but to <strong data-start=\"1568\" data-end=\"1605\">rescue the ones willing to repent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1606\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5 data-start=\"1613\" data-end=\"1643\"><strong data-start=\"1617\" data-end=\"1643\">But Judgment Is Coming<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1645\" data-end=\"1776\">There is a future day\u2014<strong data-start=\"1667\" data-end=\"1688\">a day already set<\/strong>\u2014when God will judge all human evil. Those who rejected His mercy will face His justice.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"1982\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1780\" data-end=\"1982\"><strong data-start=\"1780\" data-end=\"1961\"><em data-start=\"1782\" data-end=\"1959\">\u201cHe has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"1964\" \/>(<strong data-start=\"1965\" data-end=\"1981\"><em data-start=\"1967\" data-end=\"1979\">Acts 17:31<\/em><\/strong>)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"2155\">Every unrepented sin, every injustice, every act of rebellion\u2014<strong data-start=\"2046\" data-end=\"2076\">will be brought to account<\/strong>. And those whose sins are not forgiven will be cast into the <strong data-start=\"2138\" data-end=\"2154\">lake of fire<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"2155\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5 data-start=\"2162\" data-end=\"2219\"><strong data-start=\"2166\" data-end=\"2219\">So Why Does God Still Allow Evil People to Exist?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2221\" data-end=\"2251\">Why doesn&#8217;t God stop them now?<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2253\" data-end=\"2318\">Because He is merciful. He is giving everyone a chance to repent.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2320\" data-end=\"2529\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"2529\"><strong data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"2507\"><em data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2505\">\u201cThe Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br data-start=\"2507\" data-end=\"2510\" \/>(<strong data-start=\"2511\" data-end=\"2528\"><em data-start=\"2513\" data-end=\"2526\">2 Peter 3:9<\/em><\/strong>)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2531\" data-end=\"2604\">God\u2019s patience is not weakness\u2014it is mercy.
