QUESTION:
HOW TO COME TO JESUS?
ANSWER:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
To come to Jesus is to respond to the greatest invitation ever given. It begins with understanding that God has been seeking you all along. From the beginning, God has called out to the lost—first to Adam in the garden, and ultimately through Jesus Christ, who came to seek and to save those who have wandered far. Jesus is not waiting with condemnation but with compassion. His invitation is clear:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Coming to Jesus means acknowledging that you have gone your own way and now choosing to return to God through Him. It involves repentance—a sincere turning of the heart from a life in rejection of God to a life fully surrendered to Him—and faith, which is not just intellectual agreement but surrender. To believe in Jesus is to receive Him, to trust Him with your life and your eternity. He stands at the door and knocks; the decision to open that door is yours. When you do, you receive forgiveness, peace, and eternal life.
If you are ready to come to Jesus today, you can do so with a simple, sincere prayer from your heart:
“Father God, I come before You, admitting that I have sinned against You.
I am sorry for the life I lived away from and in rejection of You.
I need You, Lord.
Today, I make this decision to return to You.
I also believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins
and rose again because He is the Messiah and the Son of God.
I now surrender my life to You, Lord Jesus.
Come into my life, be my Lord and Savior, and change me.
I receive Your forgiveness and Your gift of eternal life.
Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
